Acts as a stopper & bumper for the pan. I like it but was wondering if it was standard on all of them?
Thanks Richard
-
No mine did not. Wish it did as the fryer pan tilts and it is hard to get a even cook on something like a cake.
-
Mine didn't either. Instead I just use a round silicone trivet. Got a set of 3 or 4 different sizes from Walmart for like 6 bucks. Rachel Ray brand.
-
Not mine, I use a small piece of silicone to keep the basket from bending down when loaded (one of the videos I'm going to shoot) It's needed for sure
-
I have never seen that before..I have to scoop my basket into the Cook's Essential and it works..took a couple of tried but have it down now..the scooping is essential and I love all of mine...☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

What kind of silicone did you use that takes the heat and is food grade safe?

I bought a silicone hot pad at a store here says good to 500 degrees. It nevers touches the food and does not seem to set off any fumes
More to come once I get the videos done

I bought these, https://www.walmart.com/ip/Best-Brands-Rachael-Ray-Silicone-Trivet/184584498?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222227055982293&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=159235115210&wl4=pla-268420050151&wl5=9019645&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=184584498&wl13=&veh=sem
3.36 at walmart. I use the little green one. I bought them originally because the basket was rubbing the coating off the center of the container it sits in.

I have two shot now but very poor and I'm not letting something like that out ;) (not for my real first videos) ;) ;) ;)

What are the 2 fixes we are attempting? I've only seen that the basket droops with food. The trivet keeps the basket level in the Power XL I have and keeps the basket from rubbing the coating off. What's the other issue?
Funny enough, I read the reviews on the link I posted and every review was someone who bought it for below their air fryer basket.

Basket will rise on the back side when holding the handle this puts a lot of strain on the handle/case and fatigue and that causes the failure of most units I have heard of
