Definitely one of my favorite chunks of critter!  Can't believe they are so good and that they are cheap, too  :o

I'd eat that! Beats the marginal sandwich I ate.

OK with all the good food produce y'all convince me an it is time to order.

I am thinking Jumbo is to large for the two of us so the question is what do I lose if I go with the Medium???
Will Weber parts fit the Medium?

Just two of us here also. You gotta get the 22 for the great indirect stuff you can do. I think the heat control would not be as easy to manage on the smaller one. Not a great price diff.

you want the 22 just because of the dimensions
you want the 8" between the fire pan and the grill grate

Good points and thanks.

I am a little short of space to store it is the reason for the smaller one.

What if I  only wanted to use it for roasted chicken???

Well that makes it easier to decide and thanks you for the help.

If I am OK without being able to do indirect cooking than the 18" will work out fine for stand up chicken and grilling.

If I want to do everything than I must go with the 22".

What minimum temperature can you maintain with the 22" for low an slow indirect?

I can get it down and hold a good 225
using one charcoal basket on the side
"I can get it down and hold a good 225" for how long before you have to a more coal?

How do y'all think the Ol Smokey compares to the Smokey Mountain Cooker?

Correct me in I am wrong but I think the Old Smokey would get much hotter which is a main point to me.
