Just a quick hello from PA.
On Sunday went in to costco and then came out with a trager :) Has a much higher WAF than the one that i really wanted, so now i am the owner of the following.
BGE (BBQ Guru controlled)
MBES (Normally run the Amazin smoker in this Pellets and dust)
Trager 400
Volcano
Just putting an old Charmglow grill out to pasture.... has done me well but have got to much the taste for wood and with the trager the wife can use that as the egg is a bit too much of mission.
When it cools down i tend to do a lot of Salmon. During the summer no meat is safe from smokin :).
Also pizza, bread veges... First cook on the Trager was bread last night.

howdy from northern cali. 8) what's your favorite thing to cook?
-
Fave thing to cook.
DINNER :) with a Beer in the hand....
In the cooler season smoked salmon. In the hotter chicken, hot smoked salmon, Steaks, Pulled port etc....
Scallywag it is great. Mine is the more basic one as the web version was not around 1 1/2 years ago. I love to just pack the egg up and then ignore it. 18 + hour smokes of pork buts not a problem. The ramp feature is just wonderful it makes overcooking that bit much harder to do.
Depending on what grill you are planning on doing it with there may be another controller that may be worth while looking at due to been able to connect in to the rocks controller.
