Good mod. Need to do it myself.
Less gas used by the KIA also!

You realize, of course, that you will have to start wearing hoodies when you drive the Kia.

The Kia is great Rick...But the Scion Xb is the better of the two:

1. Nearly twice the the engine displacement, and much more horsepower - the Xb will shock you with quickness, and handling

2. More interior space - noticeably, measurably- not just "numbers"

3. Better fuel milage from the Xb than the Kia.

4. No hoodie required in the Xb ;)

I drive the Xb - my daughter and son in law have the Kia Soul.

Just tryin to help.... ;D

I still think Rick would look good in a hoodie; kinda punk-like.  "Rick, the punk sausage maker."  Nah, doesn't work well for me.  Chrystal may disagree.

"Rick, the punk sausage maker."

Uh.....he might get arrested if he gets a rep with that "AKA"....

Smoke- "hoodie" - on of those pull over or zip up jackets with an attached hood.....typically used as a fashion statement by...uh...hamsters!

( See Kia Soul commercials - they are funny)

Forgive my ignorance (not familiar enough with Bradley smokers), but what will this mod do?  Does it provide a convection current inside the smoke chamber for more even heating throughout?

I played around with a similar design to add to my MAK.  Still have the plans and a place to have it made, but I'm not sure it is the best way to go, at least for me.  Basically it allows you to hang sausage in the cold smoker side.  As delivered, the space in the MAK is limited for cold smoking sausage.  You can't hang sausage.

From the prototype I made quite a while back, the taller cabinet filled nicely with "cold smoke".  I found that I lost some of the smoke due to the side vents on the original box.  In my redesign I had to block those off and provide a vent toward the top to "pull" the smoke through the new box.  It might be cheaper to buy a Bradley or find a proofer and adapt a Traeger type fire pot, kind of like Rick has already done.  That is where I am right now.  I'm in no hurry to make that decision.  It only costs money.

I understand the cold smoke box for the MAK (that's in another thread); I'm referring specifically to the fan Mod for the Bradley in this thread.

Cliff

The fan circulates the heat and smoke inside the Bradley cabinet. I did 5 lbs of sticks in 5 hours.

So it's the similar principle as a convection oven. Nice!
