Memphis TN, Cozy Corner Restaraunt
« Reply #-1 on: September 25, 2014, 09:39:07 AM »
On the way to BBQ on the River we wanted to have dinner in Memphis and my wife found this place on her phone, it's been around since 1977 and it's around the corner from the St. Jude's Hospital. It's nothing fancy to look at but they've got some amazing food.

Here's a picture of the order counter from our table

I had the 4 rib plate and I wish I had thought to have the sauce on the side but I forgot we'd left Texas, the sauce was very good but the ribs were perfect and had a good dry rub to start so they really didn't need them. The beans had brisket bits in it and tasted like it had a lot of brown sugar and mustard, the coleslaw was very good but different style than I have seen before, it tasted like it had mustard in the dressing and it wasn't real sweet like some of them can be.

SWMBO had the smoked Cornish game hen and it was amazing, even the breast was moist with a good smoky flavor.

We finished the dinner off with some Unicorn Banana Pudding and Sweet Potato Pie.

Looks good and I am with you on the sauce, good seasoned ribs to me are best with no or just a little sauce on the side. Don
