If you are in the Slidell, LA area you might want to check out
Palmettos On The Bayou. We went there the other night on the recommendation of friends and we will be returning when we are in this area. We arrived long before they opened at 4:00 PM but sat on the dock with adult bererages until it was time to open officially. They were very accommodating. They have indoor and outdoor seating and we chose the open air.
The dinner consisted of:
Appetizer - Andouille Stuffed Mushrooms
Wife’s meal - Roasted duck with mushroom risotto, orange, and espresso reduction sauce
My meal - Strip steak with gouda mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts
It was all fabulous and we ate until it hurt.
