Sandman's Brats

Jun 23 2015

I must have overdone it yesterday, mowing and trimming, it was all I could do to get the back yard finished today. The wife and grandson went to the Y this afternoon.

When I got beer this AM I saw Sandman had his homemade brats for his daily special. It was my wife’s turn to cook tonight so she called Sandman’s Beer & Wine Depot for a little help. I told her if he had any of the brats left I wanted one and some tater tots. They said he had two left so I took both. My wife got a piece of walleye and slaw, one piece of walleye is like two pieces.

I had some mustard and kimchi on the brat and Penzey’s Brady street cheese sprinkle on the tater tots. The brat was delicious Brad! Thanks for helping my wife with supper tonight! I’ll have the second brat tomorrow.

The brat and tots look great, but I could have gone for the walleye as well! A great meal!

Tots never went anywhere, they were a staple at the summer camp I worked at.

Great dinner you have there.  Still trying to find the time to get around to making some of that killer looking kimchi, I have it bookmarked and printed out.

Don, I know how good your kimchi is.  Now I want a brat with some of your kimchi on it!
