I joined this small yacht club in Ct two years ago because of the water & because they had a wonderful chef...best Fresh Tuna steaks I have ever had. Well he left after nine years :' (( so the search goes on.
Well every February the club members that hunt hold & cook a Venison dinner. The food is amazing.
MENU
Everything but the dessert, butter & the bread is homemade. (cost $25.00 per guest $20.00 for members)
Venison Chili (I don't like Chili & yes I am a tailgater that does not like chili) But this is the only chili I will eat. Very very good
Venison Sausage I had a taste but not my thing.
Venison Parm with pasta......The best thing on the menu outstanding.
Venison Stew also good
NY fresh bread with plenty of butter
Forget the crackers put the bread with butter in the Chili....
Fresh Italian Salad with fresh cheese & Italian meats & peppers. I could just sit there & eat that.
NY style cheese cake bought from a bakery but still very good.
A great night out during cabin fever season with plenty of good food & many laughs.
They have a great Raffles also: for $20.00 you get 25 tickets & you get to choose what you want to try for (like I need another fishing rod LOl). They had a 48 inch TV,A nice Kayak, Weber tailgating grill, Meat grinder (My brother won), A big buddy heater, Fishing rods, fillet knife set, fishing knives, Cross Bow, BB gun, Pellet gun**, etc etc etc. There had to be at least 25 prizes for 130 people not bad. Of course I won nothing in fact I think my tickets were left overs from last year as I was not even close LOL
** maybe the best hunter in the group was showing the guy that won the gun how to shoot it..........& he shot out a members car window
