I-pad Mini
« Reply #-1 on: December 19, 2012, 05:42:19 PM »
Through work I got an ipad mini with unlimited LTE service ;D
My wife has a new generation big ipad that she uses for work.
I had a first generation ipad from work till I got the new one.
For actually doing productive work the big I-pad has some advantages , especially with a keyboard case like my wife has , for what I do which is download information & order things the mini works fine.
The mini is much lighter & fits in either a coat or pants pocket making it easy to transport.
LTE is amazing , it's so much faster than the 3 G on my Origional.
The screen & some print is somewhat harder for my 60 y/o eyes to read , but you quickly learn to hold
Horizontal & it becomes natural to enlarge print with a swipe.
For cruising the Internet & cooking sites @ play it works great!
Photos take with the iPhone appear on the ipad & photobucket works great.
I've had a month & although was a little worried about the screen size at first after using it I love it ;)

LA, now you are a high tech redneck. I just recently got my first phone with texting capabilities, it is the only way I can get my kids to communicate with me.

John..I was wondering about the mini.  I have the regular ipad and ipod and am still getting used to Apple. I keep it on the bed in case I wake up at night. Don't have to go all the way to puter room to use laptop. So lazy. Thanks for the review.  Pam .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

I have the iPad 2nd generation 64GB wifi only and love it. I am typing on it right now.

I also have a Samsung Galaxy SIII with LTE and it is really fast! It is almost half as fast as my cable modem and that is saying something ;)
