Food Slicer Recommendations
« Reply #-1 on: June 28, 2013, 12:00:38 PM »
I saw this post about making your own roast beef and it was something I had never even considered before.  Now that I've seen it, I'm thinking of giving it a shot.  One drawback though: I don't have a food slicer.

I poked around the web for a bit and saw that there are several available out there for under $100 but I don't know if any of them are worth a darn or not.  Anybody have any recommendations on a food slicer for under $100?

Thanks,

get an old rival food slicer off of eBay.  $50 and under.  I got mine for $5 at a garage sale.  I'd like something larger but even on craigslist the comercial grade sliders are several hundred dollars beyond my budget for a food slicer.

Lot of LEM knockoffs on eBay. That is where I got mine. Works fine.

I was in K-mart yesterday and stumbled across a food slicer that they had marked down several times.  Picked up a Deni 14160 Electric Food Slicer for $35.  No clue if it will be any good or not but couldn't pass it up at that price.  Thanks to everyone for the advice.
