What better thing to do on...
« Reply #-1 on: July 04, 2013, 06:24:55 PM »
a Great American Holiday than cook up some BBQ sauce and try canning it. For you suckers.... I mean volunteers who wanted to try it; The batch is cooking down now and I have studied up on the canning process. If all goes well, I will send out a few bottles next week. Just let me know your honest opinions on "da Wreck'n Q 'Tearin' It Up Sauce'"! Hopefully, this batch will be as good as the last. Made about 4 times as much, so we'll see how my recipes changes.

Wow, I made BBQ sauce one time and that boiling down of the vinegar and sauce can be bring a grown man to his knees if you breath that stuff wrong. I don't use a whole bunch of BBQ sauce otherwise I would be all over your offer :)

I did that once, thankfully my wife was not home or I would have been selling the smoker :(

If anyone wants in PM your snail mail and I will send out a few 1/2 pint bottles, until I run out. All I ask is that you give me honest feedback on what it tastes like. Any suggestions that could improve and all that. It is not hot, I have too many mouths in the family to singe tongues and blister lips. I feel that there is just about the right amount of heat on the back side, it might take a second or two, but if patient; it will be there.

Gus- This time I am doing the boil method. Will have to l look into the pressure method. My Ma-in-Law has a pressure cooker she's been trying to give me.....may have to break down, take it and try it.

ACW- Sending 2 samples that way.
