Ordered some Weston vacuum seal bags 8"x12" /100 bags from amazon.
$21.39 plus tax $2.36 and s/h $7.39 came out to $30.99
Now before I check out it tells me if I get an item that is $3.61 or more I get free shipping. So I find a Kingsford surface grill temp for $7.43
After I put this in along with the bags, the new total is $31.19. So I basically got the thermometer for .20 cents. Even if it socks, I didn't even spend a quarter on it ;D

I think the last time I bought those bags they qualified for Amazon Prime. I really like the bags and the price.

Is that grill thermometer safe for use with TendaRub? Never mind... it only reads up to 800F and TendaRub is over 1000F :-\

I let my amazon prime membership expire. It qualified for super saver shipping but I needed a couple  more dollars in the total.
Probably not safe with TendaRub since I hear its hotter than a basket full of coals in the PBC ;) ;D.

My neighbor gave me some elk sausage sticks he had processed at a local butcher. He gave them to me in a already opened foodsaver bag and said "I want the bag back because I am cheap". Well, I tossed the bag and if he ask I will cut him off a foot off my roll. I know he was not joking because I gave them some jerky awhile back and they returned the old foodsaver bag  :) I'm not into washing bags and saving them and I would not call it lazy but kind of a sanitary thing.
Do any of you wash your bags and reuse them? Maybe I should start if I used the right disinfectant soap ???

I need some more bags too. I usually get them at Sam's Club.
Wife has that Amazon prime thingey going on, might have to look there.

I only have reused bags when I vac seal cheese. Also if I make big bag of snack sticks, I'll take a few out and vac seal the rest.

Yep works really good for things like beef jerky or when I slice my Canadian Bacon and put 10 slices in a bag and we only need 4 for breakfast. If your buying rubs in bulk you can break them down into smaller packages. There's all kinds of uses for them
