Any good BBQ in or near Chantilly, VA

Thanks in advance folks. I will be with my wife & kids at Brickfair (lego) next weekend. So if I may in advance.... any good eats (BBQ etc) in Chantilly VA that you would think would be good for kids too. (ages 12 & 15)?

Hi, Tailgating is my Game. Glad to see you made it over here to this great site. I have never eaten there, but I have heard good things about a BBQ place called Hill Country BBQ at 410 Seventh St. NW in Washington, DC. It is my understanding that they are trying to emulate the BBQ found in the Hill Country of Texas which is pretty darn good 'que. I just pulled up their website and found out that they serve Kreuz sausage which is a Lockhart, TX staple and the best you can buy in my humble opinion. I also found out that they have a Chef de Cuisine so I'm not real sure how high fillutin' this place really is. Heaven forbid that they might make you wear a coat and tie. I've never eaten at a BBQ joint that had one of those chef thingy's.

Or you could take a hard left at Washington, D. C. and drive 1200 miles to Lockhart, TX and some of the best BBQ in the Southwest. Let's see, I'd say you were 20 hours away. 

The brisket is so tender that you can easily pull apart with your fingers without any effort. When I brought home my left over brisket which was about 3/4 of a lb., my wife ate the hole thing before I could get one slice. And, she is not a brisket fan.

I used to live near there, but it has been a while since I ate there.  I do remember liking their burnt ends.  Check them out.

Washington DC is out & I did not bring my tie & jacket



We tried Willards...maybe we are just yankees but our crew said  avg at best the pulled pork was not very good on my plate. It just may have been a bad night. but thanks for the tip
