I have the original CB G2G. I have used it for 2 or 3 years and it works well. On the other hand - the build quality is shabby. Almost everything that moves or lifts has broken. It is no longer useful as a portable grill unless I carry the whole thing to and from the car. It is a pain in the A@@ as a portable grill. However, as a quick grill for a quick evening's cook - it is hard to beat! I use it several times a week - on the front porch - 10 feet from where it lives in the garage! lol!
I have a disk-it pan (not the whole set-up.) I like using this on a variety of grills - gas burner, charcoal, wood, etc. I lean to wood / charcoal, so will not be buying another propane in the near future. The only propane I use anymore is the G2G - it is fast and easy or the MPC to use the disk or some other cool tools.
If I had to buy again to replace the G2G, I might look at the new version - but I'd need some serious reassurance re: build quality. Otherwise, I'd likely pick the Weber. No doubts in my mind re: build quality and support. I'd also consider just sticking with my charcoal and wood burners.
Good luck!
