Normally, when I use avocado in a salad I either take it out and slice it or cut it in chunks before putting on the salad.  I  found a better and easier way is to take a melon baller and scoop out the meat of the avocado and place on the salad.  Looks okay and lot less trouble.  Dee

About the same way I do it Dee, I use a grapefruit spoon to scoop it out. Don

dee - I know how meticulous you are and that you would never allow scoops on your salad that weren't perfectly symmetrical. This brings up the question of what you do with all the avocado meat between the cutouts. Inquiring minds want to know.

Im old school,cut and spoon out.But hey,its avocado,no way to eat wrong,just eat em,yumm and good for you too IMO.
