How could you think I'd eat any turtle? Oh you meant "... all you did was eat, Turtle." I didn't but I had to do something between drinks.
-
It all looks delicious!!! How much did you gain? :) Don

I take it you took your "stretchy pants" on this trip!! What a cornucopia of meals!! Must have been a great trip, once you got out of the restaurants and bars that is.

WOW!!! Paul, you ate very well, sir!
It ALL looks amazing, but that Sea Bass dish caught my attention! What was the sauce sauce with it? I'm gonna guess a a Beurre Blanc?
-
Very beautiful and tasty looking food Turtle! And yes I'm very hungry now! ;)
Did you partake in the local wines, beers and distilled spirits?
-
Would have enjoyed being there

I make it a rule never to get on a scale for at least a week after I get home from a trip.

I think so - it was SWMBO's entree and I don't remember (I had the pork medallions). That dinner was in a converted old (medieval) jail building and was one of the best of the trip.
Did you partake in the local wines, beers and distilled spirits?
Now that was a silly question. We "sampled" a host of local wines (mostly pretty young), port wines, beer, and brandy. Mostly more "interesting" than addictive but not bad.

Turtle - I am shedding a tear or 6...mostly because you brought back the fond memories of a great breakfast you and I had at Commerce, in NOLA....Can we do that one again soon? I love that little diner.
The food porn pics look great BTW! Any chance you may have purloined a Portuguese recipe or two that you could share?
-
Can we do that one again soon?
Of course we can, Timmy, but not all that soon. I'll be in NOLA from about April 27th to May 9th - just pick a day. But try not to get lost this time (and if you're late you'll be buying).
