To RG (and everyone else)
I think I may have made a faux pas by posting the picture of my bar in this thread.
I thought it fit in with the theme of RG's project and might be of interest.
In retrospect, I believe it may not have been a wise decision on my part.
I certainly meant no disrespect to RG, but now I realize it have been seen as such.
So I humbly apologize if I offended RG or anyone.

Huh? Looked good to me - the only offense was the jealousy it engendered in those of us with nonexistent carpentry skills. If I could make something like either your or RG's projects I'd show EVERYBODY. Luckily I keep good whisky (and whiskey) around to dull the pain and embarrassment.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion

What he said. You both make me jealous. Outstanding work on all sides.

Yeah, I want to move. If I could pick up the house and move it, I would. I like the house, I don't love it but still....it's more about the area I live in. Crime has shot up quite a bit do the the demographics changing. I don't want to say more than that as it could be misconstrued.

When the project started it was just a small thing that got the ball rolling but the ball just kept growing, lol. I already had the basement finished, already had the "theater" and "diner", already had a pool table, already had it decorated, already had an old beat up arcade cabinet, already had the Japanese "slot" machine. I just added more decorations and arcade type junk.

My wife doesn't like it, she says it's gaudy. She's probably correct but I truly wanted it to kind of be that way, it was a little over the top by design. Did I need flashing LED lights? Did I need the Ghostbusters "Slimer" hanging above the foosball table? Nope and nope, but I liked it, lol!

What's done is done and who knows, maybe we'll stay here. Maybe (doubtful) my kids will give me Grandkids and I KNOW that the basement will make them want to come over. It's more like a Grandkid trap now that I think about, just need the grand babies, lol!
A revolving door of cookers and smokers. Some are keepers, some are here today, gone tomorrow!
