Title: Smoked Beer Brats
Post by: Las Vegan Cajun on August 14, 2014, 10:35:14 AM
Brats are smoking on the Traeger in the background.

Brats are getting happy in the beer bath with onions.

They look really good.  I'll take 2, hold the bun.  Lots of onions, too.

I know it sounds a little crazy ( well..WHAT did you expect from me? ;D )

But...has anyone tried keeping the beer "broth" - reducing down,  de-fatting it - and using it as a killer ingredient in a Bloody Mary? With a big 'ole piece of bacon for a garnish?

THAT could be the "Breakfast of Champions"!  ( Or alcoholics I supposes... ::) ;D )

That's exactly what we would expect from anyone that poses for pictures with a purple unicorn in Sam's Club.   :P :P :P

Gotta admit that the Bloody Mary mix idea does sound interesting.  ;)
