Having to travel back and forth from the mountain to the valley more frequently these days, we find ourselves having to catch fast food more often than we care to.
After seeing all the good grub coming off of these pressure cookers, this might be a good way for us to do a fast home cooked dinner?
What kind are you using and why do you like em??

Got 2 stovetop cookers, a presto 4 qt that's about 65 years old & a fagor 6 qt.
Stovetop are simple all should work & other than replace gaskets should last forever.
All will be heavy stainless or aluminum & both should work fine.
Electric are a different story, I know a couple people have them but no experience.
Smoke I mainl use for Red bean & rice, & for stews & gumbo.
Dried beans to the table in about 30 minutes!

I have the Elite 13-Function 8 quart digital pressure cooker. I have no experience with a stove top one other than when I was
growing up and those scared the heck out of me. I like ours as it is quick like LA says for stews, soups, beans, etc. I have done a pot roast and
wings in ours. Just another cooking tool for my arsenal. It is almost set and forget with the different temperatures set in the function panel. But to
be honest I have only used the browning function on mine and set the time manually for what I am cooking. Of course a good recipe helps too! ;)

Mine is a stove top Futura that I've had for a good 25 years, works like a champ and is safe to use. Only had to replace the gasket a few times and the safety valve once, due to my own fault of trying to put a little too much in it. It gets regular use in my kitchen and has held up well.

Very old pressure cookers may have been hazardous to use but today's modern stove top models have better safety features built into them and much safer to use than my grandmothers models.

I have a presto but it is a pressure canner that you can also use as a pressure cooker. All pressure canners can be used as cookers but all pressure cookers cannot be used as canners. The downsize is that canners are usually larger than cookers so it does take a bit longer to cook in a canner. But I can more than I pressure cook.

We pulled the trigger on the Power Pressure Xl. Got it on Amazon for 79 bucks.
With showing the cabin and house hunting down the hill, it will come in handy.
