Had a nice surprise yesterday morning Cliff (TenthunteR) called. He said they, his wife and son, were going to see the Ohio Caverns and they would stop by after to visit if we weren’t busy. I didn’t have time, too slow in my old age, to get a meal together so I did the next best thing and fed them some of Sandman’s broasted chicken.
He called about 5:30 and said they would be here in an hour. My wife called at 6:00 and ordered the chicken. The chicken and Cliff arrived at the same time, good timing.
We ate and had some good conversation. We had met Cliff and family at two of the Ohio gatherings he and his prep cook, wife, hosted. After having some Ohio peaches for dessert my wife took them to see the Rock Garden, Temple of tolerance. It is a must see site if you are ever in Wapakoneta, Ohio.
Sure happy they decided to stop and visit, The wife and I enjoyed it!

Cliff and family have been doing some traveling and visiting in recent months. Gotta love getting together with forum friends.

We enjoyed our visit with Don & Nancy last evening.
Don made a potato salad (I had just a little, even though I'm avoiding potatoes). This was not a typical potato salad, it had a type of vinaigrette dressing, some peas, parsley and lots of hard boiled eggs, and man was it delicious! Sandman's chicken was some of the best broasted chicken I've ever had!
As good as the food was, the visit with Don & Nancy was even better. The Rock garden was truly a sight to behold. They are truly great folks!

I love it when forum members get together and have a great time. Smokin Don and Cliff always look great, but I think their wives made the picture perfect.
