Title: Air Fryer calzon (sort of)
Post by: TMB on May 11, 2018, 12:07:12 PM
Been a hard week getting things ready for Mother's day.  So last night I thought I'd try making a calzone in the air fryer with cheddar cheese for the crust

3/4 cup cheddar cheese and 1 1/3 cups of almond flour (cheddar has a lot or oil compaired to mozzarella so had to use more almond flour

stuffing was cheese, pepperoni and a little low carb sauce

Thanks, I'm trying not to use flour at all and only sticking with alomnd or coconut flour.

I have learned a lot over the past year about what does and what does not work well.

Like if using almond flour vs coconut flour you need less moister for almond flour and if using cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella cheese you will just about double you almond flour to soak up the the extra oils.

Normal pizza crust would be 2 cups mozzarella and 1 cup alomnd flour  BUT if using cheddar then 1 cup cheese to  2 cups almond would be close

Well Tommy, it looks like a calzone, so if it tastes like a calzone, you've got a calzone.  :D :D
Good idea.
