Title: Looking for suggestions on HD propane burner

We need to get a really robust single burner for our crawfish, crab and shrimp boil pot. Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Robert

I have had many over the years.
Keep it short (Low to the ground)
4 leg models or the wide 3 legs. (Avoid ALL tall leg burners)  After seeing a large pot of Hot grease turn over at the Dauphin Island Fishing Rodeo I swore the tall ones off!
Be mindful of the size pot it's going to be holding. Safety can't be over stressed with a huge pot of boiling anything....
! Get an adjustable High Pressure regulator... Much better control with this unit.  Helps reach the "Robust" you're looking for.
Bayou Classic Jet Burners... The Vortex is 367,000 BTU for big pots
Banjo Burners do well approx 160,000 BTUs  for medium and smaller pots

Brand isnt overly important, quality is. I prefer the stainless ones just because they don't rust.

I have Bayou burner that is pretty nice.  We've only used it for frying turkeys, but I'm going to hopefully brew some beer with it soon.  It sits about 12" off the ground, 4 legs  pretty solid
