I get a lot of flack for this guilty pleasure, but I lined up today at the local fast food joint for my annual McRib binge...

why not

Tomorrow is my planned day, and I'll probably get another before they go away. You can always get a Banquet frozen dinner with the rib patty. They are almost identical if you put some onions and pickle on it with a bun.

I eat em

they are one of my favorites

Don't think I ever tried one. May need to fix that

Just call it something other than a McRib, and enjoy it for what it is... a well balance of flavors and textures that makes for a very appetizing sandwich especially since you can only get it occasional. the reality is it in no way resembles anything "rib." McDonald's has to call it something. They could just call it a BBQ sandwich, but what fun would that be? Plus, all of our Carolina brethren would complain that there is no slaw and that the sauce is too think with no vinegar.
BTW, guess what I had for lunch. :P

Tommy (TMB) sent me a pic of his lunch today. Guess what it was. I don't think I've tried one. Not sure if I will. But how knows.

Is this a McRib?

No, you don't. :o :o

I've neveer tried one. BUT it'snot because I have any specific aversion to MickeyDees or even the concept of the sandwich.
It's just that the ONLY thing I ever eat there is the Double Quarter Pounder /w Cheese, hold the ketchup and add extra pickles ! ! !

I was wrong. I got one today and remember why I haven't had one in over 20 years or so. I can wait another 20 years before trying another one.
-
I haven't been brave or hungry enough to try one yet.
-
I've had 4 of them so far. 2 Last week, 2 this week. Sue me :P
For those that think that they aren't any good and are not "real", watch this video and you might change your mind.
Not the best resolution but you get the idea.

I cannot remember the last time I had a McRib. I'm not opposed to it, but I just don't go to McDonald's. However, after watching this video, I'm more inclined to try one. Seems like a lot less goes into making the McRib than probably most processed meat products (like hot dogs).
-
Maybe it's the gallon of sauce that comes with it.
-
Last time I had a McRib was back in the early 80's, not really my thing these days. But, from the video it seems like a quality made product anyway.
-
They are awesome!

Yep, Kimmie had to have one so when she asked me what did I want I said go ahead and get me one. She said you are going to catch heck from your forum friends :D :D :D :D
Yep I said but it's been a long time since I had one :P
