As some of you may know, beside owning and operating Simi Pellet Grills, I am a firefighter. I also have been very involved in video and film projects over the last few years pertaining to the fire service, and some stuff outside filming extreme sports. Anyways, here's my latest for my department's recent academy that just graduated last week:

Eric nicely edited video. I really enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing.
I work with firefighters from time to time during gas leaks they have responded to and structure fires they call us to respond to. And have yet to meet one that is not a gentlemen ;)

Great video. At first I was taken aback with the edit - keeping faces out of the shots. Then I got it. It works. Nice cuts and edits Good job.

I liked it also. did the same kind of training at pearl harbor firefighting school in the early 70's.

Very nice, and thank you for what you do!

Great video! I was a firefighter/ paramedic in a small Cape Cod town 40 years ago... we never had that type of training. I got a lot more when I went in the AF for pararescue helicopter training.
Thank you for that posting and being a jake!

That's a pro job on the video GG. I think we all know firefighters jobs are hard and dangerous but sometimes forget they need to stay in good shape too. No wonder they turn out some good firehouse cooks! Thanks for serving! Don

We sleep good at night round these parts knowing special people like Eric and his comrades are ready at the moments notice.

Thank you everyone for the compliments. I had a lot of fun making this...it became challenging as I'm not there filming through out the entire academy. The instructors wore helmet cams, so all the footage I originally had was kinda hard to work with. A few days before they graduated I had to go back and shoot some more footage to tie it all together. I was going for the rough, shaky, in the war zone look for a lot of it, trying to portray how intense and stressful it is for these recruits. We showed the video at the beginning of their ceremony to set the tone for what their last few months had entailed.

Much respect for firefighters. I did a couple day training in the Navy in a strictly controlled training environment. Dawning all that gear and going in a building with a raging fire is scary.

I still watch the "Emergency" re-runs on tv and some of the situations on the show would get me all nervous, I can't even imagine how stress-full and dangerous real life situations are.
