Title: Soileaus Chili
Post by: Keymaster on May 21, 2013, 10:39:45 PM: Couple years ago STC sent me some Soileaus seasoning and shortly after they quit the business. I been saving the stuff for a special occasion or a Monday dinner ;)

Nope..

I had lunch with them before they shut down. Avery was in pretty poor health (decades old back injury), and the cold/damp winters here in Illinois about killed him. They pulled up stakes and moved back to Baton Rouge, hoping they could start up processing/packaging again. However, bills kept piling up, and they could never come up with the capital to reopen.

Really really nice folks, but a sad story.

The package says it makes a half gallon but STC schooled me that it makes about 2 gallons if you respect your stomach lining :)

Now that would have been a good idea and made more sense :) I just wanted some color for the picture but did not waste the pickle :)
