Title: Sushi with my beloved brother
Post by: pz on September 18, 2013, 12:04:02 AM
I found these pictures as I was perusing my collection.  Several years ago I lost my younger brother to cancer.  Although I have many wonderful memories, sushi was one of our favorite moments together.  I miss him terribly, and this is a tribute to him, and his love of sushi.

PZ, so sorry about you losing your brother.
I'm half Italian, and my Ital. grandma taught me at an early age that food is to be celebrated between family and friends. She went through the depression and learned that food was not to be taken for granted. As it is, nothing should be taken for granted, especially family and friends. It is great that you have such fond remembrances of your brother! Thank you for sharing.

My love for sushi/sashimi came from my Japanese step father who also lost his battle with Cancer. Great Pics.

Although the loss of my parents was awful, it was not terribly unexpected due to their age, but my brother was on an entirely different level.  The only thing that would hurt more would be the loss of one of my boys.

I say no matter how annoying siblings can be at times, spend as much quality time with them as you can.  I wish I could, but you can't go back.
