Spuds made me do it
« Reply #-1 on: July 13, 2014, 06:32:28 PM »
July 13th was Thanksgiving at Pappy's house. After seeing Spuds do turkey, I wanted some too.

Brined an 11 pound bird for 24 hours. Cooked indirect on my Weber. I had not done a turkey on the Weber before.....came out great.

My pictures were rushed....as was the plating.

Made a lot of gravy ;D. And it was good.

Don't judge me on the corn

Missing my electric knife. I really suck at cutting a turkey without one.

This was really tasty treat for July.

Absolutely love turkey.   BUT, I'm about the only one around here, so am lucky to get one for Thanksgiving.   I do, however, get to do it on the grill, or SRG.    Usually want a bit bigger than what SRG will hold.   Use it (SRG) when I do turkey(s) for church dinners, potlucks or large group gatherings.    Can always manage to snitch some them--cooks prerogative!
