The Wife Cooks Better

Dec 21 2014

I thought I had better post this for a little redemption from posting a picture of a can she butchered trying to get it open the last time she cooked. She was busy today; taking care of me, doing some grocery shopping and fixing supper for me, the daughter in law and grandson.

She had salmon patties and makes them from her own recipe in her head. I prefer some onion and celery chopped fine in mine but hers are pretty good.  Her sides were Kraft shells and cheese; don’t love them but I can eat them and she had some canned red beets. I had her get some take home and bake bread to have too, I was about to have withdrawal from not having any bread and butter for a few days!

I had a pat of compound butter on top of the salmon pattie and the DIL had some on her bread. She said she liked it. I made it from a stick of butter, 3 Tbs. crumbled gorgonzola cheese, a good tsp. of Savor All seasoning and a tsp. of dried garlic flakes.

I will tell my wife tomorrow that her cooking moved from the Humor section to the Other Cooker section!  ::)

Looks like a plate of redemption to me.  I'd hammer that!  Seeing the beets reminds me that I have a jar of homemade beets in the pantry that needs to be eaten.

My wife loves to make salmon patties. She is only allowed to make them when I won't be home for a few hours. I can't stand the smell. ??? Glad to hear your getting better Don.
