Dinner At Felix’s in Spanish Fort, AL

Terry and Kerry highly recommended having dinner here if we could stand the wait.  We arrived at 5:00 and were told it was a minimum 90 minute wait.  Grabbed the beeper and headed to the bar.  Found a seat for my wife and ordered two drinks.  I started talking with a couple who were just finishing up their dessert.  Less than 20 minutes after arriving we had seats at the bar.  These are sauteed crab claws.  Oh so good.  Expensive, but good.

This is the sampler of their gumbo, cream of crab and turtle soups.  A great way to sample all three without having to order a cup or bowl of each, and still have room for the rest of the food.

Forgot to take a picture of the three scrumptious crab cakes that we split.  They were served on some of the best fried green tomatoes I have ever had.  They just melted in your mouth.
I highly recommend going here.  The wait is worth it!

The crab claws and gumbo would have finished me off. I see a trip south in my future. Only 4 hours away.

The crab soup is unbelievable !  Every now and then they will offer BBQ oysters in the bar. They are just crazy good....
