Sacramento trip

I'm making a short trip to Sacramento Ca, Wednesday - Saturday. My brothers memorial service is being held in Marysville near Yuba City on Friday.  Anyone have any recommendations on places to eat or see while I'm there?   Something I shouldn't miss...

Boy, Sacramento must be a hole in the ground!   And to top that off they are saying high winds for our flight in!

Terry, we are not ignoring you. It's just that I have only driven through Sacremento and only know where the McDonald's fine eating establishments are. Figured you'd want something a little more substantial. I know it will be a sad trip for y'all, but I hope that it will be a good trip. Safe travels.

Lucilles in roseville is ok.  Ruth Chris at the galleria is good but expensive.  Morton's in sacramento is fantastic but very expensive.  BJ's in roseville is good, fun and allot of good beers.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Sparky!  Many trips I just look for a lot of local cars around a resturant. That works most of time pretty well. Never hurts to have some guidance though.
Wish I had more time but this is in and out pretty much.

Marysville is a good hour and a half from sacramento though.  I have the sportsmen expo this coming next week.  Working 12 hour days to prepare.  If you are in the area would love to meet ya.  Come by the bbq shop.  I'm there most of the time.  I'll cook ya up some ribs.  I can use the Memphis pro or the primo XL.  Pellet grill puts out a better rib in my opinion.

Unfortunately I missed Sparky... Would have liked to met him and thanks for the invite.
We were pretty busy with such a short trip but I did get over to see Folsom Prison briefly and around to Placerville Ca for pie at Sweetie Pies. I tried a local berry pie called "ollalaberry" which seems to have a couple different spellings.  it is a blackberry, raspberry or dewberry hybrid.  Sweet, tart and really good hot with Ice cream...
I got a picture of a pretty cool Pizza oven trailer so I'll include that here as well.  I didn't get a picture of the pies because I was to busy eating  ::) ....

Sorry to hear about your brother. I have never been there, actually I avoid Ca if at all possible, sounds like asking the locals is a good idea. I have found some good eats asking the hotel staff and bartenders.
