Tenderloin Steak Night
« Reply #-1 on: November 07, 2012, 08:53:58 PM »
So again I find myself with little time to cook...but I refuse to settle for fast food or a quick snack. This took just under an hour.
Rubbed a tenderloin with Money rub and some garlic evoo..
On to the Mak on smoke for 20 mins.. reverse sear..
Pulled off and #855 I call her Elizabeth.. I watch swamp people and every time I hear that name in a Louisiana drawl I laugh..
Cranked up to high and 4 mins per side... hey look a pellet grill can sear!!
Plated with some shrooms and a tater...
Oh man... done just right!!
And Sparky.. you were asking how Jack was doing... here ya go.. he's doing just great!!
Thanks for looking!!

Wow Aren.....that really reaches deep....a moving, and very life affirming video. Great to hear that Jack is doing well, I can't imagine what your family went thru.

May he grow tall and strong as an oak, with roots well grounded in the knowing he is loved.

That steak looks delicious, Scally, but Sparky's right: the better picture is that of Jack and you. Glad he's doing well now.

Scally so glad your little man is doing good now after all you have been through!

My 2 year old is having surgery on his hand on Monday and I am a bit nervous about it. Not like what you went through but when your kids are sick or having a medical procedure it can be scary.

Nice sear on your steak too!

Thanks for sharing your cooks, but especially thanks for sharing that video of Jack and your family. What amazed me is how happy the little fella looked the whole time. Amazing story... hope to see the continuation as Jack grows up healthy and happy.
