Good weekend for projects (picture warning)
« Reply #-1 on: August 02, 2016, 08:24:19 PM »
Got busy this past weekend with some beef Jerky

Finished Product

Next project was some salsa for the wife using a jar of Penzey's Salsa seasoning they gave me for spending a fortune. She loved it so brownie point success

Found a package of rib tips and a couple of small pork "shoulder roasts" on reduced at Wallyworld so I decided to marinate them in Soy Sauce, Lime Juice and garlic then grill them on the SRG with some Texas Steak Rub. I sliced the shoulder roasts into thick planks so I could slice some up for taco's and use the rest during the week.

Here's the shoulder steaks and a pan of onions and shrooms for the pork tacos

And a meal of leftover pork for Sunday dinner with pork gravy, onions and shrooms from the tacos, and of course a batch of green peas for Tee on rice

Looks good!  How do you like the salsa seasoning from Penzey's?  I just got some last week for spending way too much also.

It was good, I may have gone a bit overboard with it for the amount of tomato and onion I chopped. Wife thought it was a little to hot at first but a touch of salt and half a jar of jalepeno jam a friend had given me from his garden made it perfect.

For sure, I also had to do two loaves of crusty bread for her quilt guild meeting tonight....

A lot of fine cooking Saber!!! I love the Penzey's sandwich sprinkle, it's a garlic herb salt and hardly a meal goes by without it. Don
