And...what did you marinade that batch of beautiful drumsticks in Pete? They look great!

Marinaded the Chicken Drumsticks using Mr Yoshida’s Marinade & Cooking Sauce and McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Chicken Seasoning in a marinading pan.  Refrigerated the chicken legs overnight and rotated the drumsticks in the morning.

Preheated the MAK 2 Star to 350ºF using Pacific Pellet Alder wood pellets.  For chicken legs and wings I prefer using a Leg and Wing Rack.

Cooked the Chicken Drumsticks at 350ºF until the Internal Temperature reached 180ºF.  Rested under a foil tent for 15 minutes before serving.

Where did you get the drumstick racks Pete? And...I noticed you hung some, while you layed the rest of them across the top? Experiment?
What was your conclusion?

What was your conclusion?

You can find the Leg and Wings rack all over the place.  Amazon has them for example but I found mine at Lowe's in their BBQ section.  The racks usually run from $5 to $15.  The ones at Lowe's are Master Forge stainless steel leg and wind rack.  It holds up to 12 chicken legs and 10 wings.  Dishwasher safe and the legs fold under for easy storage.

Some of the legs were hung and others were layered across the top because I have found that the smaller legs are too small to stay in place and fall through.  Also when they're cooked they will shrink a little and will sometimes fall down as shown in my last picture.  There's a leg on the grill.

The racks allows for a more even cooking process.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it  8)
