Why you should NOT make pizza in an Air Fryer (Todays laugh)
« Reply #-1 on: January 18, 2019, 10:26:06 AM »
Got in last night from work and wanted pizza.   So I whipped together a fast low carb crust and tossed in the air fryer

BAD choice (yes just making fun of this) but really air fryers just wont finish the bottom like an oven.

Here is a prime example why,  not that is all bad just not what I had in mind ;)

Can't wait to do this in my UUNI!

just wondering..I think a piece of cast iron that fits in the AF would work really well if it was preheated..what do you think?
I saw a show on DD&D that made pizza with no crust..started with Parmesan cheese directly on the flattop and then added what he wanted..onion, peppers etc. He let it cook covered until the bottom lookedcooked aroudn the edges,..it works. just sayin..   .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

Yes Tommy, an air fryer is not for everything. :D :D
They do a great job of reheating pizza though.

Hey, if you never try, you will never know.

I make crustless pizza all the time and it works great.    If I was to preheat the pan it would work but then again testing is the fun part!

Maybe just par bake it enough to get it a bit crispy then you might be good to go.
I sometimes do that with pizza (thin crust especially) that I do on the Blackstone.

I was thinking the same, get some crust on the bottom flip and add the toppings.
Love to cook and eat
