I made these last night just to try and see if I could make a good dinner type biscuit
1- cup almond flour
1/4- cup starter
2- Tbs VWG
1/2- tsp baking powder
1/2 - tsp salt
3 oz - VERY hot water
Combine all together except the water and stir till mixed well, add the water as you stir (slowley) till all 3 oz is in the bowl till all is wet. Let rest in a warm spot for 40 mins or so then work/kneed for a min to get air into it then roll out and cut into biscuits then bake.
I did these at 370 for 10 mins, turned over after 6 mins to brown the other side then let them go the other 4 mins. I think I cooked them to fast since they were still doughy a little inside. Next time I'll cook at 325 for ten mins then flip
Were they good?? Yes not bad but still need to work on them. Like most Almond flour recipes the taste is good BUT make sure you let ANY dough you make with Almond flour or Coconut flour have time to HYDRATE! Wheat flour is one thing but these flours are another when it comes to moister
