Low Carb Fritos (SORTA)
« Reply #-1 on: November 09, 2020, 10:09:08 AM »
Tailgating is my game said this about my low carb Deritos "Looks good Tommy now if you can do a low carb FRITOS...."

Well I gave it a shot just to see :)

Here is my first try, not bad but not real Fritos either.  BUT, for a crisp chip that can be used to dip cheese or even add to a taco salad they are perfect.

Taste is very close to those chips/fried noodles you use for soups from a chinese resturant

Yep!  LOL, was in a hurry at the time

I cut Lavish bread into the size I wanted and fried at 300 any higher and they burn REAL fast.  Only takes a few seconds so keep and eye on them.

After I remove them I add salt and just a hint of onion and garlic powder (I mean very little)    I got 80 to 85 pieces per sheet of bread

So 6 grams of carbs per half sheet (40 strips) not bad!
