Voodoo BBQ in Greenville, SC

A new place opened up here in Greenville and it is a franchise of the real Voodoo BBQ from The Big Easy, they are on St. Charles in NO. Decided to go and try them today....not bad...not great....they have 3 good sauces. Nice pulled pork, very tender and moist but they did have very little smoke taste to it. They smoke in house with Oak and the owner brought me out a nice St Louis style rib to try. Very tasty rib, nice smoke ring and very tender.

They have a very large menu for a BBQ joint. But I could tell the owner did not really know his BBQ when I asked if he used the flat for his brisket....he looked at me with a deer in the head light look until I asked if it was 2 cut brisket and he said yes. He uses the point for the pulled brisket and the flat for the sliced.

As Bucky's BBQ for my standard then this place would rate a 7 out of 10. Next time you are down here T call me and we can try it. Just up the road from NY Butcher and Al's BBQ. They are the only BBQ in Greenville to serve beer so I will have to try some other stuff they have.

LA, When I was stationed at the Sea-Bee base in Gulfport, MS the local laundromat had a bar attached to it with an entrance from the laundromat....Must be a MS and LA thing.
