That being said, I don't believe brisket should be served on a sandwich in the first place.  ::)

What???   :o Well throw me in the penalty box then, 'cause that's exactly how I prefer my brisket - on a good bun with a little tangy sauce and topped with some vinegary slaw. But what do I know (I'm only the guy who has to enjoy it)?

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!  ;D

Thick, sliced and fatty for me.  Bread on the side if you're into such things.  And for God's sake no sauce.   :D  It's all good though as long as I don't get it served chopped, on bread or sauced (or lean).  That way I can enjoy it my way and everyone else their way.

Other than in competition, there are no style points.  If it tastes good to you, that's perfectly okay  ;D

I cook barbeque in two styles -- "friends and family" and competition style.  They are similar in result but vary greatly in complexity because in competition I'm dotting every conceivable "i" and crossing every single "t" and double-checking that I do.  One is not superior to the other, necessarily, just more disciplined and consistent.

I feel the same about chili.  What I make isn't the limited scope "Texas red" of the chili competition circuit (although I know how to make that).  It is, instead, what my wife and I like to eat.

No harm whatsoever in liking Arby's brisket!

Interesting. I would have never guessed. And I didn't think there was anything nastier than a McRib!

I like McRibs.

Looks good to me  ;)

For anyone that likes Reubens, Arby's has a really good one - I was completely shocked, but it was excellent for fast food

Yes, their Reuben is surprisingly good (and filling)!

I haven't been to Arby's for awhile. I liked their turkey salad market sandwich on the thick sliced whole grain bread. Definitely not your average fast food! Guess I'll have to go back and try the brisket and the Rueben.

Smoochy and I took the Tendarub challenge a while back and lived to tell about it, and we are still allowed to hang out here  ::)

Just devoured two of them briskie sammies.  Not bad...not bad at all.......just enough sauce, not swimming in it......briskie was tender...wish it was piled a little higher....not a bad offering.................
