I identify more with the Burgess Meredith character. ;D
Drinks, unfiltered smokes, and daily bacon, and chases women. And lives to 90...... Great character!

Yep….and in need of a leash to keep him off the ladies as I recall….. :D

I am thankful my wife is still making slow but steady recovery from her stroke. I am thankful that my Dad at 94 years old is doing well at the VA nursing home even though he thinks I am his younger brother Henry. I am thankful that even that one of my kids is on the left coast in Seattle and one is on the east coast on the NC coast that I still love them and are still thankful for them

I can echo about all the sentiments that have been expressed thus far.   :)

Both my parents are gone, and I lost my only sib - my younger brother a couple of years ago.  However, I have my dearest sweetheart still with me, and our two boys, one of which is able to visit with us between deployments for the first time in many years - we're very thankful that he is alive and well, and very excited to have him come home.

I am thankful that the Lord has blessed me with the most wonderful wife and sons (and cat).  I am now over 1.5 years recovered from my stroke, and each day has been a little bit better than the last.  I am of course thankful for all of the good people on here and that I get to share my hobby with each of you.  Like Smoke, I am very thankful for my new stick burner and a reliable source of wood.  :D

You give me way too much credit.

I built a playground. And, even if it was the "best" playground - it would be worthless if no one wanted to use it. Nothing like the laughter, and good times of a playground that is well used…

So…yeah - I am calling you all a bunch of kids…And - I am perfectly comfortable being Walter Matthau ( Grumpy Old Men reference…)  feining a stern composure - but, laughing inwardly all of the time. ;D

I spent some time with Burgess Meredith many, many years ago. He was that guy.

I am thankful for my family, great friends - some I've met here, some I've known for years. I am grateful for the opportunities I've been given in life. Like several of you, I've faced some medical challenges, and I am thankful for the doctors and support that are allowing me to work my way back to health.

I am most thankful for my kids and wife, who for some reason think I am awesome. I am thankful to be employed and to have a roof over my head. I am not worthy of any of it, so for that I thank

Yep wonderful family. House that is been great for us so far.  And a bunch of wonderful guys and gals here.   Been a good year.
