T Bones n Hasselbacks
« Reply #-1 on: January 18, 2014, 07:21:30 AM »
My wife and I hit a little bump in the road here for a spell. She lost her job back in September and just found a job here 2 weeks ago. Nothing that any of us haven't experience a time or two in our lives. Seems like evry couple of years we have this and have to re-learn survival. I know we still have more than most and we are truly blessed. These bumps have taught us how to do more with less. We've made 1 month of protein last over 2 months. Well enough of my rant. We went to the store and stocked up, here 2 of the pack of 6 t bones we got.

Kept it easy peasy with just S&P, we really enjoy the flavor of meats. Fired up the chimney and sat outside with it caught flame. It was a beautiful evening.

I broke out the sear plate to get some nice grill marks. Here they are on the turn.

I've found 3 nice CI pans and have restored them. I think I paid less than $15 for all three. A 13' a 10' and a 3' plus a corn muffin pan. Here's the 10' getting the call for some hasselbacks. These were done in the oven, Just a little chez plez. 8)

Here they are finished and getting ready to hit my pie hole.

I like easy and flavorful. A little closer shot.

And supper is served my friends. Thanks for looking!

Great menu.  My wife asks for Hasselbacks every now and then.  All I can say is "Plate me, please!"

Great looking taters.  Those hasslebacks are so versatile.  Glad y'all's work situation has improved.  That's got to be tough.  Dee

Thanks everyone. I hope those who are experiencing the same situation from which ever circumstances get some relief. It can be and is taxing. It cook to have good people like yourselves, whether we know one another personally or just through here to take our minds off of our problems, even if for a brief moment until reality crashes back in.

Thank you all for your kind words and looking at our cooks. Take care.

Your Friend,
Gene
