Never heard of it.  Bowl of Bog.  Sounds Australian.
Looks perfect for me, son and SIL.
Spouses—probably not.  They can order carry-out.
Bookmarked.
Cookin' that soon!

About how many bowls will that make?

Ummmmmm....I love chicken bog.  I've also heard it called "Chicken and Rice Perlow".  I think both started in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Yours definitely looks like some good eats.  One of the things I enjoy most about this site are seeing recipes I haven't thought to make in a long time.  Thanks for sharing your cook!

Kind of like a gumbo except the rice is cooked inside it instead of it being served over cooked rice. Looks delicious, especially on this bitter cold day.

That looks so good I can almost taste it. It's got kind of a Jambalaya flair going on.

I could easily snuggle up to a bowlful of that on a cold day (like today) with some of your no-knead bread & butter... Yeah boy!

I made this last week.  Made it Thursday afternoon, let it cool and served it Friday.

It was fantastic.  It thickened up but I just added more chicken stock.

Andouille sausage was a tad too spicy for us.  I'll make it again but with milder sausage.

It looks great.  Kinda like gumbo without the soup... I think there's a lot of really good food traditions along the Carolina coastal regions that I would like to know more about in general.
