Thank you everyone for the welcome.

welcome, neighbor!   What part of Texas--we're in SE New Mexico--Alien Capital  to be exact.

I'm from just south of the DFW area.

Here's another welcome from Texas. I'm in the College Station area

txpops,

My wife is an Aggie.  We got married the summer after she graduated, so I made quite a few trips down to Aggieland during her senior year.

We used eat at Tom's BBQ and have the Aggie Special quite a bit.   We just found out it closed more than a decade ago.

Welcome from South Alabama!  Hey looks like enough folks from the mid and south west now to put together a gathering over there.

Tom's closed before I moved here but I've heard a lot about it. The old pitmaster opened a place in the Houston area called The Brisket House and he still serves the aggie special. The only difference is that now he calls it the Brisket House special.

You probably wouldn't recognize aggieland these days. Lots of construction everywhere. And Kyle field is all torn up right now but it's going to be awesome when they are done with it.
