Southwest-German Grilling Competition
« Reply #-1 on: May 03, 2014, 07:33:41 PM »
After I gave up my active cometition career, today I took part in the Southwest-German Grilling Competition as a judge. I judged two courses (vegetarian starter and main course: trout with side dish) and made on site judging for dessert. Here are some impressions:

Yeah, but some of the turn ins were really inedible: absolutely oversmoked and undercooked.

How did it feel to be "on the other side of the table"?  I'll bet your stress level was down.

The stress level was not as high as competition cooking, but nevertheless there was stress on judging, because most boxes were better to be tasted short time after their turn in - and most of them were turned in at the same time, especially the first course.
