Title: Air Fryer test is: Frozen Fish, Chips, Crab Cake and Dumpling baked at once.
Post by: Savannahsmoker on February 09, 2017, 07:28:48 PM: We are eating light tonight and Sweetie decided for one Frozen Crab Cake and Dumpling. I am going for one Frozen Battered Cod and a handful of Zesty Fries. The Power Air Fryer XL 5.3 quart comes with a divider and the plan is to do one fish and a handful of fries on one side and the Crab Cake and Dumpling on the other.

Based on the cooking time I found doing a little research all the times are about the same and all at 400 degrees.

What do y'all think????

If this works than I am going to really like this machine.

We did change it up becasue the fish were small and I wanted to try the dumpling.
EEOV spray on frozen Beer Breaded Cod, Fries, Crab Cake and Dumpling in the basket after pre-heating at 400 degrees for 3 minutes.

Five minutes at 400 degrees, pull shake and back in for five more minutes and done.

Another great about it easy clean up. While Sweetie plated our light dinner I full pan and basket with hot soapy water.

This Air Fryer is perfect for an elderly couple like us. :) :)

I watched a YouTube video about AirFrying frozen foods.
It stated "For a guide Air Fry per the instructions temperature or as close as
possible and start with half the time.

But... and y'all know there was going to be a but.. 8) I found not to put the food, especially frozen mozzarella sticks in the basket when preheating. I normally don't put anything in the basket when preheating but this time we were hungry and I threw some mozzarella sticks and frozen jalapeno poppers in while preheating. I set my time for 6 minutes at 390 and my wife mentioned that the mozzarella sticks will start to pop open if cooked too long. I opened the drawer after 2 minutes and the sticks and the poppers were already splitting open. So if you want them done quick do it that way. But next time I will preheat as I always do with an empty drawer. Learn by doing....... ;)

It does...mine has a preheat function. It preheats to the desired temperature then gives you 5 minutes to load your food before it shuts off. I have the NuWave Brio.

So many choices and some to get very pricey.
If you are close to a Sams Club they have the Power Air Fryer XL 5.3 quart for $119.
It looks like Phillips has more options available.
I do recommend you get one 5 qt and above.
