Title: Trisket - thanks muebe
Post by: fishingbouchman on May 16, 2013, 07:39:03 AM
Scared to pull out the brisket so figured I could practice on the Tri-tip.  Thanks Muebe for some pointers.

going basic just salt and pepper.

the trisket is in there somewhere.

a little too much pepper for the kids so I got all the bits and pieces.  But it turned out great and ooohhh so good

oh ya, I had some butts in there too.  could have cooked a little longer but I couldn't wait to pull them off.  Need to embrace the stall and they are done when they are done.

Great ring.  What was your smoking temp?  What was your final internal temp?  Did you crutch while cooking or just foil to rest?

I have a Tri-Tip in the freezer (but am currently out of brisket) that I was thinking of doing a Trisket with.  Mine is a bit smaller than yours (how many lbs was that thing?), but I'll throw some ribs or something in with it.

Yeah..what Billy said..what temp? I never worry about how long cause I cook to temp.  Can't get tri's here..only ones I have found are already marinated and I don't like that. Pam  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ

Great job....looks mighty tasty!  I spent years convincing my family that the only way a tri tip was any good was med rare to rare(the way I like it) then Muebe comes along with his amazing trisket!  ??? ??? ???
