Homemade Horseradish sauce = Sour cream, dash of salt and squeeze horseradish to taste about a teaspoon to 3 taplespoons of sour cream. One time we had company over and they wondered why my Horseradish was better than the one they made at home. They were using mayonnaise
+1 -- this is a great little recipe to make store-bought horseradish more savory. I mix mine about two to one. If you ever have a chance to taste real, fresh, home-grown and prepared horseradish (very hard to find) you're in for a treat. It is potent ( a little dab'll do ya) but has a much more pleasant (not bitter) taste. Back when I had a regular supplier of it, I'd put a little on bologna and home grown tomato sandwiches. YUM
