Title: How to grow tomatoes in the winter, maybe.
Post by: N. Ontario Smoker on September 07, 2014, 05:05:13 PM
Where my garden is I only get late afternoon sunlight so my tomatoes were not doing so well. This year I used two 5 gallon round pails and did the same as on the video. I made 4 sets and moved them to the 7 hour sun side of the house. The tomatoes got so big they started to fall over because I only used the little bamboo rods to hold them up. Now I have to use 1 inch thick  dowels for support. My plants are about 5 feet high and loaded. Best grow ever. If you use this method I don't see why they won't grow indoors with a large grow light. I'm going to start some of my seeds from my best tomatoes of this year and see what happens. P.S.....Make sure that you use 100% cotton material for the wick.
