So my 9 year old and I found ourselves unsupervised for the evening...I set up a makeshift shelter using last years patio umbrella, which I had been meaning to throw away, as it had been kissed by a few flying embers from the new fire-pit I built this summer. It now has a new purpose.. PBC Rain Shelter!!
On the menu were St. Louis Spares and Smoked tay-ties and Bacon-Wrapped-Sriracha-Onion-Rings. Mac N Cheese, (Stovetop) for the boy.
The spares were pretty meaty so they took nearly 4 hours, I probably could have kept them on a bit longer. I called my smoking-mentor (pal who got me hooked on this crazy hobby) told him I had a "problem" and needed help (a ruse to get him a pass from his warden)
He arrived, and we made a big pile shiny bones!
Life is good.
Thanks for looking.

Great looking ribs!
Several years ago I picked up a slightly damaged umbrella (off the floor) at Home Depot. I tied it to one of the 4x4s on my deck railing and have been cooking in the rain ever since.
