Title: My Mother's Turkey Stuffing
Post by: ACW3 on November 27, 2014, 09:38:43 PM
This is the stuffing I grew up on.  My go-to stuffing.

Recipe By: Ruth Wiesemann

Ingredients:

1 bag stuffing, 16 ounces
1 each egg
1 stick butter
2 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 cup onion, diced
1 cup celery, diced
1 tablespoon dried parsley
2/3 cup green olives, sliced
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
salt, to taste
black pepper, to taste

Directions:

1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.

2. If cooking in an uncovered lasagna pan, cook at 350 F. until the stuffing starts to brown.  Pull out of the oven and cover with foil until serving time.

Notes:

Can be used to stuff the turkey cavity or put in a casserole dish or lasagna pan.

The green olives have me intrigued.  I definitely need to give your mom's recipe a try!
