I am going to cook out some wings in the srg today. I got a giant bag of wings from costco, can I put the frozen wings directly in the srg or do I need them to defrost? Also any idea how long they need to cook?
Thanks.
finished product here. Awesome wings.

I've not tried it myself, but from reading other posts it is ok to start with frozen wings.
Sorry, I'm not sure on the time. Less then you would think though I'm sure. :)

I did a search... found someone that says 45-50 min but that was with a Big Easy. Maybe someone else can come along and give a better idea.
Good luck!

40 to 50 is normal for thawed wings. Never tried frozen wings before.
I brine mine so they are thawed

I've never tried cooking wings from a frozen state but would like to here how it turned out when you do it. ;)

If the instructions state you can cook them in the oven from frozen then you can cook them in the SRG from frozen also. You will probably have to add another 15 minutes.
It has to do with the way they were originally frozen.

well i have cooked wings twice now. They turned out great. Need to work more on the cooking time, think I am over cooking them. Only takes about 40-50 mins though.

Thanks for the video. It's been a while since I've looked at the number of super videos on YouTube about cooking with the SRG--the McGiver of cookers. Dee
